USBTA – United States Bomb Technician Association                                                                                                   The USBTA created a unique combination of trade show/hands-on scenario-based training that introduces bomb disposal technicians to new and/or prototyped equipment which give bomb technicians the opportunity to explore the equipment’s merits and/or shortcomings.   These events, coined Technology Training Events (TTEs), are held throughout the United States and their success relies heavily on the USBTA’s partnership with industry. USBTA personnel, along with industry professionals, develop realistic challenging applications for specific bomb disposal products then encourage active bomb disposal technicians to not only test the product under “real world” conditions, but offer an open and honest evaluation (www.usbta.us).

It is the vision of the HOTZONE Committee to establish an annual training conference in order to continuously improve HAZMAT technical training and promote professional relationships within Region 6 as well as meet the unique needs of this region.
